Masone Labyrinth (Fontanellato)

Masone Labyrinth (Fontanellato)

The world's largest bamboo labyrinth, created by publisher Franco Maria Ricci. A meditative walk for adults and children, plus art museum and restaurant.

Near Fontanellato, 20 km from the Podere, the Masone Labyrinth is the largest bamboo labyrinth in the world — designed by the publisher and art collector Franco Maria Ricci. Walking through the three-metre-high bamboo corridors is a meditative experience for both adults and children. The complex also houses an art museum with Ricci's personal collection (including works by Parmigianino and Canova), a library, a restaurant and an events space. Allow 2–3 hours for labyrinth and museum. Beautiful in every season, particularly impressive in summer when the bamboo canopy creates a cool green world.
